Purchasing power is a business tactic designed to help cushion overall costs associated with purchasing goods. The concept and implementation of purchasing power has evolved substantially over the past couple of years, and I expect to see more and more company’s coming out of the woodwork offering group buying services. The two most popular examples I can give would be Groupon and Livingsocial.  What they have done is leveraged the power of buying bulk in exchange for massive consumer discounts on limitless goods and services. Brilliant! Right now, I could save up to 90% on something I would totally purchase in a heartbeat. The same rules apply to b2b establishments. On this very blog, you can organize/promote a “buy” at a steep discount per piece in exchange for the goods you supply your customers (tutus, fairy wings, wands, halos, pettiskirts, hair bows….you get how this works).  Moq’s, piece prices, shipping costs, duties, bond fees, etc are all cushioned by the number of buyers.  If you are a first time buyer, it can be quite intimidating although my ebook holds your hand through the process. For some, they might not be ready to commit to larger quantities.  This is perfectly OK!

This collaborative method of importing and supply is most cost effective for a newbie. It offers a phenomenal opportunity to beef up your inventory at prices 100-500% below WHOLESALE. As a matter of fact, every single wholesale and retail shop on the web who’s product offerings are tutus, pettiskirts, butterfly fairy wings, wands, halos, hair bows, fairy dress, boutique baby hats, jewelry, leg warmers, ruffle bloomers….and the list goes on an on, is available directly through the manufacturers listed in my book.
